James Hurst - “on the 7th June 2019, my new piece ‘12 Athenian Vases’ shall be performed in the Recital Room at Blackheath Halls. I’ve been working on this piece for a while and am really looking forward to sharing it with you all.

The piece is 35* minutes long, and is split into three sections. Each section forms a different response to a collection of Ancient Greek vases that I found at the British Museum.

The ensemble I shall use will include piano, marimba, bass clarinet, flute, violins and a cello.”
